Hans Gerritsen, Holland.

"Freezing water, slippery rocks leading to a black abyss and lurking arachnids - the perfect recipe for a dandy day out! Thanks Deb."

Discover Australia's most spectacular underground wilderness, "A totally different perspective on life-magnetic. Another million trips would be great!" Nicole Rankin, Brisbane (extract, Visitors Book).

Perhaps you thought the only sensible way to see Australia's subterranean scenery was in a Tourist "show" cave and that exploration and appreciation of natural or "wild" caves was the domain of "hard adventure" freaks. Think again.

We take total beginners into several Mole Creek caves - famous for their beauty - in a catered full or half day trip. The setting: a lush green dairy farm landscape framed by World Heritage mountain wilderness, handy to Launceston, Devonport and Cradle Mountain.

Gone for the day are the concrete paths, the crowds and society's trappings. We take time to admire the beauty, the wildlife and to photograph. Try wading a stream cave to appreciate lofty glow-worm chambers and flute concert. Or jaunt through a honeycombed hill with varied challenges. The options are yours to choose.

Wild Cave Tours include minimal impact instruction and environmental interpretation by qualified guides with a passion for caves. Individual/group inquiries welcome. Trip grade: easy to easy/moderate.

Here are some of the comments from previous 'wild cavers'!

"The tour was as challenging as you wanted it to be."
Carol Didcock, NSW, Australia.

"Hey, so good that I had to come back again!"
Laurence Seaton, Australia.

"Got me well and truly away from my normal lifestyle."
Sarah Robotham, Queensland, Australia.
